160 degree thermostat made by Mr. Gasket This new thermostat is made of copper and brass for trouble free and high flow coolant applications. Replaces the 195 degree stock thermostat for greater performance and horsepower. Gain 5 to 10 horse power with this thermostat.
A cooler running engine improves performance by increasing the mass air flow rate of intake air and by reducing the engine's tendency to detonate. This thermostat reduces the temperature of both the incoming air/fuel mixture and the surfaces of the combustion chamber allowing the engine to safely develop more horsepower.

2004 - 2007 General Motors 4.8 L, 5.3 L, 5.7 L, 6.0 L, 6.2 L, LS2, LS6, LQ4, LM7 engine families. This is a direct drop in with no modifications needed and includes the rubber seal.
